These are preparatory drawings for a proposed large painting to be entitled ARK. There will only be one of each kind of animal. Apart from the woman accompanying them, they are representations of individuals who are used in laboratory experimentation, but instead of depicting them in their captive and tortured state, they are seen in their original, unmolested beauty. The finished project may be several years in the making.
